Remote shooting capabilities for clients, including zoom call with multiple screen sharing options. Options include screen sharing of Digitech screen displaying the images as shot, stylist’s prep station, production area and activity on the set.

At The Orchard Studio we are doing all we can to ensure the safety of others and to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during shoots by practising the following guidelines:

Our studio set allows for social distancing for essential crew members with multiple breakout areas for clients and non essential crew to facilitate physical distancing.  Breakout rooms and common areas are equipped with monitors for remote viewing and our software allows for clients to have remote access to the shoot from the comfort of their workplace or home. 

Australia has been very lucky with the spread of the virus and we have access to locations, modelling agencies and prop houses. Please read below for further details of our Hygiene and Sanitation Protocals and Personal Protection Equipment.

Our studio has a separate client area and stylist prep area outside of the studio area. Within the studio we can observe social distancing for the digitech, photographer and stylist. With a screen mirroring the digitech station, we can consult with clients and agency, all looking at the same thing, enabling everyone to be part of the shoot as it progresses.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Face coverings to be provided by employers to all clients, cast and crew at no cost. 

• In the case that physical distancing cannot be maintained, all individuals must wear face coverings and should practise hand hygiene.

• Effective and frequent hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub is imperative, along with avoidance of touching the eyes, nose or mouth. 

Hygiene Protocols

• All staff are instructed in hand washing, cough and sneeze etiquette, use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other protective behaviours. 

• Cast, crew and clients to avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth.

• Stations with hand sanitiser (contenting at least 60% alcohol) shall be strategically placed around work areas and readily accessible.

• As face coverings cannot be worn while eating, adequate eating space has been provided to ensure physical distancing during meal breaks.

• If a cast or crew member is experiencing symptoms or has come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 either on or off site, they must report to their employer and follow the employer’s contact tracing guidelines.

• Cast and crew must practice physical distancing whenever possible.

• All Hair and Makeup artists are required to have proper PPE and minimise time spent with subjects/ models.

• Casting to be conducted virtually via self-tape, online video conference, or other applicable technology whenever possible.

• Deliveries limited to a specified area.

Sanitation Protocols

• Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces in the studio including door handles, counter tops, bathroom surfaces, handrails, tablets and monitors to maintain a healthy environment. 

• Sanitation of common areas, restrooms, dressing facilities, props and chairs.

• Deep clean and sanitation of all surfaces before and after each shoot.  

• Hand washing facilities kept clean and well-stocked.

• Hand sanitiser readily accessible at the entrance of any designated eating area and to be used when entering and leaving the area.

• Removal of unnecessary paper products or décor (magazines, newspapers, extraneous sales materials).
