My connections project is about something I’m passionate about: celebrating those little moments that make life worthwhile. So I’m particularly proud that a pic from this has won a 2nd place, with another getting an honorable mention in this year’s International Color Awards. Also a pic from my series Out My Window.

As a photographer I treasure the gift of being an observer of life and the human condition. It’s then heartwarming to me to be reconized by an award in the recent IPA awards for a personal project I recently shot of my father.

A collaboration with a client to launch their new brand identity; illustrating their dynamism, creativity and innovativeness is a winner in the IPA 2021 awards. The power of a great creative, well executed. Chuffed!!

I’m hugely proud in this year’s IPA Lucie Awards, I received 8 honorable mentions across 5 categories, as well as my 2nd place win for the film Suddenly Vulnerable.

A film about family, filmed by family, starring family. Director Christian Mushenko, DOP Michael Mushenko, 1st AD Katie Parsons, Sound Recordist Tim Parsons, Script supervisor/ consultant Nikki Mushenko, Production Designer Angela Mushenko.

I’m very proud that my film “Suddenly Vulnerable” is an official selection in several film festivals, including the Big Apple Film Festival in New York. It has also won 2nd place in the IPA Lucie Awards, and is exhibiting as part of the These Days Exhibition, https://thesedays.world.

TheseDaysCMPromo.jpg

A virtual group exhibition of works created in isolation by the worldwide photographers collective brought together by The Series Project - Covid Edition.

The exhibition sees award winning and emerging artists working side by side and actively creating in the face of global cuts to the artistic community, including Billy Plumber, Christian Mushenko, Esther Bunning (NZ Photographer of the Year 2020), Lilli Waters & Robert Earp.

Jointly, they share their day-to-day stories of anxiety, joy, depression, hope and anger to create an exhibition that balances place and placelessness as each government and individual tackles Covid-19 in their own way.

I'm excited to announce that I am now represented in the US by Janice Moses. I'm honoured to be part of her team of incredible talent and can't wait to bring her infectious energy to the table and discuss what we can do together with you!

I just received an honorable mention in the 2019 IPA Lucie Awards for the for a project I shot in Thailand called Samsara. It's a story of the human condition from the context of Buddhist's life in Bangkok. This project aligns with my connections work, shot in a documentary and empathetic style.

Samsara has just been nominated in the People and Photojournalism categories of the 2019 Black and White Spider Awards.

This is such a beautiful confirmation for me of wanting to create a film that spoke to how we connect as people, and a reminder to put our focus on what matters most in life! Congratulations to all who worked with me on this project! And THANK YOU!!

My work was projected December 6th as part of Art Basel's Grand Opening at Miami Dome. (Next door to Banksy's show!)

This work takes a subject as sublime as the sea’s horizon, with all it’s symbolism of purity, infinity, longing, anticipation, and portrays it via the filter of our own experience. We are made to see the romantic notion of the subject framed by reflections of our environment, what’s around us, and the impact of time in the view. Each moment presenting a different view. Just like how we see things in life! My aim is to make us aware that we all bring our filter and our past experiences to life. Be kind to those who see things differently to us. https://www.see.me/creators//christian-mushenko
