Drama, Story and Passion

Apparently, there’s a condition known as “Stendhal’s Syndrome”, where in the presence of great beauty; sufferers can experience rapid heartbeat, fainting, or hallucinations.

Although I didn’t experience that; after a recent shoot in Florence (known as the birthplace of the Renaissance) I’m left still trying to make sense of the sensory overload that is Italy .

Food, history, architecture; but what struck me the most was the human emotions depicted so clearly in the Renaissance art everywhere in the city.

Back in my day to day life of adulting, running a business, etc; my overriding  memory of Italy is one of Drama, Story, and PASSION. All that I cherish, and aim for in my own work.  (And no, I’m not comparing myself to one of the great masters, but I would love an ancestral home in the hills there!)
