Affinity. Closeness. Longing for connection. These shared experiences are what elevate our lives beyond mere existence. Good or bad, they are the muse for poetry, the rhythm of music, and the ‘heart’ in our heart. This body of work is about exploring just that: our humanity seen through how we connect with something outside ourselves. That moment when we bare our souls and open our hearts.

Peak Hour Commute to Melbourne

I had a slightly longer commute to work yesterday. Instead of skipping through the kitchen and into my studio I flew to Melbourne to shoot Alan Hopgood, actor/playwright. Alan is working on some great plays at the moment based on men's health issues.

To top off the trip I spent some time exploring the lanes and drinking coffee in the famous Melbourne cafes.

Rain, rain go away...

Ahhhh all this rainy weather is making me want to curl up and watch a good movie, thankfully it's not meant to last long and people are saying we're in for a long, hot summer. Here's hoping!!

For those of you not afraid to brave the rain, the Bondi Short Film Festival is on this Sat, at the Bondi Pavilion, Queen Elizabeth Dr, (02) 83623400 |

Must get down this year to the Moonlight cinemas in centennial park with  a cider!

Another cool one on the cards: there's talk of a rooftop cinema opening in Surrey Hills if council plans are approved for the Melbourne company.
